What is the primary goal of DigitKart?
The primary goal of DigitKart is to offer customers with a frictionless, quicker checkout and shorter wait time through advanced computer vision technology.
How exactly does DigitKart work?
- DigitKart uses the visual AI based computer vision solution to Identify multiple items in a fraction of seconds, a virtual cart is created, payment can be initiated via Credit/Debit Cards for an easy check out.
- Shopper enters the store, picks the products, and proceed towards kiosk.
- Place all the Grocery items in the Kiosk/ Counter.
- Virtual Cart/Items will be displayed in the Display Tablet device.
- Once all the items are placed in the counter, Initiate Payment.
- To Complete Payment, Tap credit/debit cards on the Payment readers.

Shopper Experience
Can shoppers add or remove items from their virtual cart during their shopping session?
Shoppers can add or remove products to the virtual cart simply by placing or removing the items over the DigitKart Countertop plate. Virtual cart gets updated instantly based on the items placed and get scanned automatically.
Is there a limit on the number of items I can purchase at self-checkout?
DigitKart usually limits up to 8 – 10 items placed simultaneously.
Can I get a receipt for my purchase?
Yes, physical receipts will be printed after every customer purchases.
What should I do if I encounter an unknown product during the scanning process?
For unknown products, there is a fallback mechanism in DigitKart for the customer to scan the product item using the bar code.
Can I buy age-restricted items (e.g., alcohol, tobacco) at self-checkout?
Age-restricted items may require verification, and Store Associate will assist with the purchase to ensure compliance with age restrictions.
Can you return items here and how it works when no cashier is there? Or who will accept returns?
Customers can reach out to the Store’s Support Contact Personnel, enquire/check for items based on the Store’s return policy.
What type of items can DigitKart Identify?
